Job Recruitment:

We are in the early stage of implementing TRIPS program, an economic empowerment intervention with the objective of contributing to the enhancement of livelihood of Sumba tour guides. The ideal candidate for this position is a self-starter, global minded with strong verbal and written communications skills, and a keen interest in the non-profit sector. The main roles and responsibilities of selected candidate is to assist in M&E process of WLF’s TRIPS program.

Key responsibilities:

The M&E Intern will support the MERL team as well as CMT (Core Management Team) in monitoring and evaluation activities and project research needs. Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Support data quality checks and develop reports and charts for reporting.
  • Support the management and implementation of the project monitoring plan.
  • Support field offices in preparing for the final project evaluation.
  • Support the planning, development, and dissemination of case studies and best practices for action plan.
  • Support tourism and economic empowerment research needs as needed.
  • Support the development of project deliverables such as assessments, briefs, and reports.

  • Create and disseminate handouts of project data and success stories.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Candidate specifications:

  • Undergraduate degree current advanced graduate degree in international development, social studies, management, or a related field.
  • Familiar with quantitative and qualitative method.
  • Experience in developing data collection questionnaires, forms, interview guidelines, or other tools preferred.
  • The prospective intern should have strong writing, editing, analytical, organizations skills and should enjoy writing.
  • A high level of computer proficiency is desired, this includes experience with Internet research.
  • Possess excellent communications and able to work within a team.
